Try the confit de canard, or even better, the magret, venison, jugged hare, truffles and foie gras. Local cured hams, sausages and rillettes of goose and duck, pates. Oils pressed from local nuts. Ewe's, goats and cows cheeses. Try the clafoutis also, which is a rather delicious black cherry pudding.
Remember though, everything has its season but there's such a lot of good things to eat you won't be disappointed whatever time of the year you visit.
We have excellent restaurants which cater for every budget and appetite and a list of our favourites, tried and tested regularly by us, is to be found in the cottage. You can expect to pay about €12 for 4 courses, and €20 upwards for an evening meal of 4 courses
